Ways To Save On Garden Items!
At the beginning/ middle of
fall is the time to stock up on canning Supplies, check out your
local store at this time and
save
big!
Late spring and Early Fall
is a great time to go shopping for pants and tree's they are usually
marked way down at this time. There's nothing wrong with them, they
just need to make room for new arrivals.
Keep a look our in the
middle of spring for seed to be reduced in price. You can usually
find them for $.05-.50 a Pack, This is a big difference in price
just save the seeds for next year.
Always check out clearance
items first and save big.
Check newspapers and
journals for inexpensive, unique garden ornaments or just back yard
ornaments.
Always save empty seedling
trays and pots from every plant you buy. Saves you allot when it's
time to start vegetable plants next time.
If able to start a compost pile it
saves you allot on all purpose potting soil and is a great
fertilizer for you garden or flower beds.
Check out your local flea
market and find great buys on plants, vegetables, and unique yard
ornaments.
Ways to Save on mulch, Check
your local paper allot of the time cities will give away mulch and
load it free. Also check out some tree trimming companies allot of
the time they will give you there chippings from jobs and deliver it
for free.
When buying mulch don't buy
it buy the real fine chopped up mulch, unless its a flat bed;
because it washes away to easy, which doesn't help you pocket book
or the plants.
When buying plants check for
plants that are ready to be divided into multiple plants it will
save you allot of money.
Collecting seeds form your
perennials and bushes is also a great way to save and to share with
friends and neighbors, maybe even try trading for other seeds.
Making cuttings, divisions and
dividing are great ways to get more plants and trees for free. I
will have more on how to do this in the very near future.
