Bug Repellents in the Garden
Onion's and Garlic can be planted in between other
vegetables in your garden to help keep the bugs away and a great way to
save space in a small garden too.
Rodent Repellent's
I have found that when it comes to rodents and four
legged pest the moth balls are the best solution to the problem. They
are harmless to the animals but keep them out of your plants. Just don't
place them to closes to your plants, I recommended placing them about
ever 4 to 6 inches away from your plants if possible. Some rodents other
than dogs also do not like dog hair if you have a hairy dog you want
want to place hair from them in your trouble area.
Slug Spray
1 cup of iodized salt
1 cup of boiling water
Mix ingredients together in a bowl and put into a hand
held sprayer and spray any areas which slugs are active and on them.
this will get rid of them very quickly. (not for the squeamish)
Snail Bait
1 can of beer and a small saucer. Put the beer in the
saucer, and place the saucer on the ground where you are having problems
with them. Just wait a couple of days and the snails will find it and
drowned them selves in it. Replace as needed.
